I adopted my tree less than a year ago, why do I have to pay the renewal now?

You may adopt an olive tree at any time of the year. When you make the adoption, you receive the extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) from the last harvest. We always harvest our arbequina olives during the month of November and start producing the EVOO that same month. This is also the time when we charge for the renewal automatically, unless you have indicated that you do not want to renew it.

For this reason, it may happen that you have to renew your adoption without the first year having passed.

For example: if you adopt in September, you will receive the oil from November of the previous year. After 2 months, you will pay the renewal fee in November to receive this year's EVOO. From then on, as long as you want to keep your olive tree, we will charge the renewal during the month of November or December.

Please have a look at this video, where we explain, how the olive tree adoption works.
